A Speedy Lunch Spot

A cheeky lunch meeting is always welcome and if you happen to be near the Strand, Ludenwic may well be your answer. Perched within easy reaching distance from Holborn, Chancery Lane, Covent Garden and theatre land, drop into this simple, Scandinavian cafe for a scotch egg, toasted sandwich, one of their impressive range of fresh salads or perhaps just a coffee.

Ludenwic is the brainchild and second venture from Oliver Hiam and Dominic Hamdy who, while at university founded Scotchtails, the one-stop shop for all your scotch egg needs, also stocked in Ludenwic's fridge.

At the counter you'll find enticing pastries, sandwiches and creative salads with sweet potato, aubergine, broccoli, pearl barley and whatever inspires the chefs each morning.

Collaborating with London Juicer Natasha Mae of Mae & Harvey, each day there are also fresh batches of beautifully colourful cold-pressed juices.

Their coffee cups have even been featured on Coffee Cups Of The World .. this is a big deal in the land of the coffee cup so I hear! Check out who else has made the cut here

We got stuck into our lunch of juice, salads, toasted sandwiches and weren't at all childish when confronted with our scotch eggs..

To top it all off, some mini treats in the form of a gooey chocolate fondant and (perhaps too almondy) lemon drizzle cake. Ludenwic is a happy alternative to grab a bite, you won't have your mind blown but you will have you stomach satisfied.

Here's where and when you can get your Ludenwic hit:

  1. This place is clean and has nice ambiance, more like modern than classic. Our visit to the venues was just amazing. I believe it was a treat to be here. It would be a treat to attend another event here.

  2. I do not know how events will unfold to enable me be within the vicinity of Chancery lane for the perfect coffee and probably the scotch egg , This post is awesome, i love it!
